It’s no $35 tablet, but India’s own EC Media International is unveiling their own e-Reader: the Wink. Although definitely lacking when compared to the newest generations of Kindles and Nooks, the Wink has still managed to garner the support of several well-known publishing companies, including Penguin, Roli, Oxford University, Harper Collins and Permanent Black. Nintendo has declared that its new DSi XL, which will debut on March 28th for $190, is also an e-reader. Apple’s iPad and iPod Touch/iPhone are breaking into the Japanese gaming corporation’s territory; the DSi XL is return fire that will a title called “100 Classic Books,” which includes works from Shakespeare and Twain. enTourage has had to make a minor price increase of its versatile, duo-screen eDGe e-reader/tablet: new pre-orders, which will ship in March, are now $9 more than before at $499. I don’t know if it’s just me, but all of all the e-readers that have been released lately, I feel like Sony is the only one that got the “style” aspect of things right on the nose.
