Speaking of hard drives, Seagate, one of the biggest HD manufacturers, is going to announce the first 3 terabyte version later this year. Due to the limitations of the LBA (logical block addressing) standard, anything larger than 2.1Tb is problematic. Buffalo is joining Seagate and Western Digital in a portable on the go external hard drives competition. Buffalo’s new lineup comes in three colors - black, red and white with upto 500 GB capacity.

The Buffalo drives are about the size of a small paperback book and come with a USB cable that wraps inside when not in use.

These small yet flashy looking hard drives will cost around $200 and will be available in August.
