On a lazy and humid Sunday, cool yourself down by reading about another lookalike –this time, an HTC HD2 Mini wannabe for a low ¥ 550, less than one Benjamin Franklin bill. More »

From Htcyou: Combining revenue for the first four months of 2010, Android pioneer HTC has raked in $1.76 billion (NT $55.71 billion), up almost 30% from the same time last year. Immense hits like the Desire and the Legend in Europe and the Droid Incredible in the States - and even the HD2 - have contributed to HTC’s record setting April. More »

Sunno’s S880 Pro is a higher performance smartphone that has a lot going for it: 1,680 CNY ($246 USD), a 3.6″ 800×480 screen, an 806MHz Marvell processor, and a 5 megapixel camera with flash. Unfortunately, the S880 Pro also runs obsolete Windows Mobile 6.5 and must be imported from China (Americans pay barely any Customs tax so not a big deal). More »

From Htcyou: One of the most highly anticipated smartphones yet to be confirmed is the HTC Supersonic, which for sometime, has been rumored to be a 4G phone. Since Sprint has just stated that it will have a 4G smartphone by this summer, it stands to reason that the Supersonic is the very device in the works. More »

Most of the attention at Mobile World Congress centers around Android and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Phone 7 announcement, but HTC is one of the few companies that is still Windows Mobile 6.5 loyalists. The HD Mini, which is a more affordable version of the HTC HD2, runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Presumably, the HD Mini will not be upgradable to Windows Phone 7. More »

From Htcyou: In addition to showing Flash 10.1 on an HTC HD2 (Windows Mobile 6.5) and the Nexus One, Adobe hopes that AIR will allow easy cross-platform integration with so many different operating systems powering smartphones. More »

From Htcyou: I was unimpressed with the supposed screen capture HTC’s Supersonic running Android 3.1 on T-Mobile’s network, but these newly released photographs of the actual device have me agog. Some Polish bloke has published a better shot of the Bravo as well, this time with the phone turned on. More »
