An odd mixture of high-end build with modestly entry-level internal hardware, the Legend is luring few Motorola Droid, Nexus One, and other top-flight Android 2.1 smartphone owners from their devices, but it should satisfy most consumers who want a moderately fast and beautiful smartphone. From Htcyou: HTC has confirmed that the Droid Incredible, Evo 4G, MyTouch Slide, and Desire are on the priority list to receive Android 2.2 updates, but none of them is getting the new OS until the second half of this year. Although HTC has not made a statement about 2009 models, the adverb that “most” 2010 units will get FroYo indicates to me that there is no chance for the likes of the G1, MyTouch 3G, and Droid Eris since not “all” 2010 smartphones will be upgraded.
