Apple’s new iPod Nano is causing some controversy in the gym. Many gyms are banning the iPod Nano with video because of its recording capability. Gyms are afraid of those dudes, you know those pervs that’ll just have the recorder on while their female counterpart wants to get her workout done. The Nano is small enough to hide almost anywhere.

What makes this whole thing interesting is the fact that many cell phones, especially the iPhone, can take pics and even record video but are they banned from the gym? If I were to take an iPhone 3GS into the gym and start recording, none of the employees would be able to tell unless I was blatantly holding it up, as if I’m taking a picture or recording. More »

Apple’s gold prize for yesterday’s show was the iPod Nano with its newly packed FM radio with Live Pause, the Voice Over feature, and of course the camera. When rumors began flying through Twitter and other social networking sites that the Nano had a camera, makers of the Flip released their own tiny camcorders. Apple has pretty much confirmed new iPods are coming out with price cuts on Pod Touch, Nano and the Classic. The only iPod not to get a cut was the shuffle, which was released in March of this year.

All those rumors about a possible iPhone Nano from Apple never came into fruition over the past year or so but that’s not stopping the folks in China from coming out with one.

The Chinese version of the iPhone Nano (exact name as well), has iPhone like apps with a iPod Nano scroll. It also offers a 5 megapixel camera and costs only 90 bucks. How can you beat that when the iPod Nano doesn’t offer a camera, while the iPhone 3GS’ is only 3.2 megapixel. More »
