Not only is Sin City forever known to me as a place most sacred in my heart of hearts, it’s also the home of the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show. CES, for short. Set to happen Jan 7-10, this year’s CES show is boasting a record number of tech exhibitors: 2,500 exhibitors showcasing all their latest wares for 2010! Makes me wonder — is three days even enough? Is it possible to visit every exhibitor? More »

A recent European study has shown that people who listen frequently to music from their mobile players are at serious risk of permanent hearing loss. Research reveals that in some cases, people are cranking their music up to 120db, which is akin to hearing an airplane take off! More »
Those folks over at Japan, always coming out with something new, smaller and most times, better. Take the Micro-Sport MP3 player. It’s the tiniest MP3 player in the world, smaller than Apple’s iPod Shuffle, almost as small as the size of a quarter. The craziest part of it all is that it has a 4GB internal memory standard! Now that’s something. Check out more details after the break and some instructions on how to use it, that is if you decide to get one. More »

So I only thought Black Friday deals could happen in stores like Wal-mart, Best Buy, Newegg, or places like that…but I was wrong! This year, Gameloft, a big game app maker in the Apple App store world, has quite a few of its games that are normally pricey, all for less than a dollar! If you’re like me and never buy anything more than 3$ or so, you’ll know what I mean by a Gameloft game. They have the reputation of always starting at $9.99, ending up at $4.99, and never budging. Gameloft extends its holiday More »
Japan is getting more attention now. Not because of its slew of USB related gadgets but for getting the first airline to integrate iPhone and iPod. ANA (All Nippon Airlines) airlines is one of the most established airlines in Japan, and also the second biggest. The airline has announced that any flights from Narita International Airport, Tokyo, and JFK Airport will be equipped with iPod and iPhone connectivity. More »

From Girlybubble: If Audrey Hepburn had an iPhone, I doubt she’d Holly Golightly when it comes to Swarovski crystals on her iPhone case. Hepburn being ever-so-much the iconic figure for beauty and class, would most likely own an Audrey Charm faceplate. Could we blame her for picking a decorative tech/gadget frame line named after herself? More »
Popular music player calls for big sound and nothing is creating more bass and clarity for your iPod than the new Table of Sound. Apple is so old in the MP3 player market that its already the iPod’s 8th anniversary. Eight years ago, Apple announced the first iPod, a clunky brick with a click wheel. The original iPod held only 1,000 songs, weighed 6.5 ounces and synced songs through Firewire, which took a while. Now, iPod Classics can hold 40x the amount of music and videos than the original, revolutionizing the way we interact with our music libraries. More »
Apple seems to be in the news alot today. Here’s another, but this time it’s about their small war against the Palm Pre.
When the Palm Pre first launched, the developers, some of them which were previous Apple employees, put in a code that made iTunes think it was syncing with an iPod and allowed iPod syncing capabilities. Apple quickly caught on and released an update that removed the feature. Palm responded with an update that allowed the syncing once again. It went back and forth like this for some time before Palm decided to take the matter to USB Implementary Forum, saying Apple is violating the principle of open connectivity. The USB-IF responded today, in favor of Apple, making Palm feel like an idiot for bringing it to the Forum in the beginning. More »
Official word out of the Microsoft camp is they will not be selling the Zune HD outside of the United States. A Microsoft spokesperson had this to say to ArsTechnica:
“For the time being the Zune HD device will remain US-only. Right now we are focused on deploying an exciting service in the form of Zune Video to 18 markets. We are looking at potential future hardware experiences for these markets, but do not have anything to announce right now.”
The original Zune never hit the overseas market either. The closest Microsoft came to releasing the Zune was releasing it in Canada and that hardly counts as overseas. After the Zune HD was announced, Microsoft made another announcement earlier this month saying the original Zune models (4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 80GB, and 120GB) were no longer going to be sold, which meant the Zune HD is going to be the only music player available from Microsoft.
