One of the worst things about the power going out is trying to find a flashlight to light the darkness, so you don’t trip or go tumbling down the steps. Well, Eneloop has taken matters into their hands and are looking to release their new flashlight, which also doubles as a mood lamp. Now, you’ll never lose your flashlight because you’ll know where it is, because it’ll be lighting your room already! The Eneloop can provide white light for 3 hours on a charge, 45 hours as a dim night light, or blue ambient light for 16 hours.

A built in accelerometer knows when you pick the flashlight up, automatically switching to flashlight mode for a solid 6 hours. The design is not so bad either, with its tubular, yet sleek appeal. The Eneloop flashlight was expected to be released September, 11 but still unfortunately remains in the concept stage. More »
