Legendary Shigeru Miyamoto says that he is devoting lots of energy into educational efforts for the Nintendo DS. Some Japanese students already use the handheld gaming system for learning (pictured above) in the classroom. When the new school year begins, Nintendo will introduce elementary and junior high schools to the DS as an educational tool, although exactly how this process will be implemented has not been documented to the public. NPD reports that for the first time in several years, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has earned first place in the monthly gaming console sales rankings. The 360 moved 422,000 units. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen officially launched yesterday around the globe, not surprisingly Transformers peripherals started to pop up all over the net. One of the better looking accessories seem to be the Nintendo DS Lite cases.

The Transformer cases won’t turn your DS into a robot but will give it a very distinctive look. It even comes with a Transformer themed stylus. They come in two flavors, Megatron and Bumblebee, and cost $20 for both or $13 for each. More »
