10 popular websites that have illegally streamed live sports and pay per view events on the internet have been seized by US prosecutors. Apparently, these websites provided links to give uses easy access to other sites that host pirated, copyrighted telecasts from major sporting leagues and asscociations. According to Daniel Brazier, a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the websites were “used to commit and facilitate criminal copyright infringement and contain evidence of that crime”. Alright, iPhone OS 4 is not retail software, so this is technically not true piracy, but its beta version is available for free only to registered developers.
