From Htcyou: Not a phone but a portable media player (PMP), Philips’ GoGear Connect looks similar to the GoGear Muse MP3/multimedia player and runs Android 2.1. Philips plans for the device to launch in July. If the Muse is any indication of pricing, the Connect should be relatively affordable compared to the iPod. Benjamin Button is finally getting a toy to play with, the MyRacer Q10. This portable media player has all of the latest media tech in there, its just masked by the old 1970’s stylings. This retro PMP, with the protruding knob is definitely an attention grabber although the features are pretty standard. Apple may be releasing another iPod next week but that’s not keeping companies like Creative from coming out with their own new PMPs. Creative released their latest PMP, the Zen X-Fi2. It comes with some pretty nice features:
- Three inch touchscreen - 8GB, 16GB, 32GB SSD options with MicroSD slot option - TV-Out - FM Radio - Built-in Mic
The Creative Zen X-Fi2 prices are very competitive and with the features offered, it’s not such a bad option for the non-Apple lovers. The smallest capacity devices retails for $130, the 16GB at $180 and the 32GB for $230. Press release after the break. More »

Creative ZiiLabs introduced the Zii Plaszma, a new platform that works for both Android and the Plaszma OS. They also announced the release of the upcoming Zii EGG handheld StemCell PMP, which mirrors the look of the iPod Touch. The EGG works with both Android and Plaszma OS, has a 3.5 inch, 10 point multi-gesture touchscreen, which displays HD video in 1080p. More »
