The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Dell is currently working on a pocket-sized gadget capable of accessing the internet, but would not have cell phone capability. Naturally this report has very little weight behind it, and this Dell gadget may just be another of many exploratory prototypes that never make it to the market, but when a giant like Dell says that they’re working on a Google Android-based portable, one tends to listen. More news is coming out on Microsoft’s Zune HD. Engadget says a Software Engineer at Microsoft spoke to Neowin.net and announced the price and possible increase in hard drive capacity for the upcoming Zune HD.

The rumored price for the base 16 GB model will be between $250- $280. If that price point stands, then the Microsoft Zune HD will cost less then the comparable 16 GB iPod Touch, which retails at $299. More »
