Yesterday, the upcoming Android 2.1 QWERTY smartphone Motorola Charm showed up on an internal screen capture as listing for $269.99 outright and $74.99 with contract. The latter price made no sense to me. It seems like I had reason to be baffled because a new T-Mobile poster indicates that the Charm will be free with a 2-year term. More »

On Father’s Day, Walmart is giving an extra $50 eGift Card to anyone who purchases an Xbox 360 Arcade bundle, which includes Banjo Kazooie and Viva Pinata, online. Since AT&T has its exclusionary claws on Apple’s iPhone 4, Americans cannot use the device with other carriers, but the situation is drastically different in Canada, the UK, and continental Europe, where most GSM/WCDMA networks carry the smartphone. In a strong response to Kinect, Sony has declared that the Playstation Move is going to be available in Europe on September 15th and North America on the 19th. Pricing defeats Kinect and is as follows: the motion controller is $49.99, while the navigation controller is $29.99; the Move Sports Champions bundle that includes the PlayStation Eye, the titular game, and the Move is $99.99. Fears of “Project Natal’s” high price turn out to be well founded. Ebworld is taking pre-orders for the Xbox 360 motion sensor add-on at $150, which is roughly twice the cost the Playstation Move!
