Online giant eBay has brought a retail store to NYC for the holiday season. For one more week, eBay will have a midtown store for shoppers to stop in and buy items. They’ll also be providing a great option, to browse and buy things from the store using the eBay.com front page store without a registered username.
This is a great way to target customers who normally don’t shop online to get some great deals for Thanksgiving and Black Friday but also to expose the online giant’s website, which has been shifting from an auction model to a “buy it now” model similar to Amazon.
I’ll be sure to check it out again sometime this week and see what they’re offering. For those wondering what computers eBay is using in their retail shops, they’re using iMacs to help their customers browse for great deals.

Earlier this year, Apple’s Retail power was at a standstill. It was reported that Apple had opened over 250 stores, eight per quarter the year before, but all of this suddenly came to a stop when Apple opened only one store in the 3rd quarter of its sales this year. Apple’s Retail domination had come to a screeching halt over the past summer, but now the gears have started up again and Apple Stores are popping up all over. Just yesterday, Apple opened its 4th retail store in Downtown, New York, being the 15th in the New York Metro area. More »
Apple is expanding, not only in terms of quarterly sales but with its total number of stores nationwide. Apple is expected to open their newest Apple Retail store in the Upper West Side of Manhattan on November 14th, which is this Saturday at 10:00AM. The multi-level store is located at Broadway and 67th street, being the 4th retail Apple location in Manhattan. This is great news for people living in Uptown Manhattan because of how easy it will be for them to access. More »

Looks like Apple will continue expanding their vast empire, this time opening another store in New York City, this time in Manhattan’s Upper West Side (68th and Broadway). The new store will be Apple’s 4th in Manhattan, with the Fifth Avenue shop as the main retail shop. The other two stores are located on 14th street in the Meatpacking District and the SoHo Shop on Prince Street. The new Broadway store is currently shrouded in a “red curtain”. Take a look after the break. More »
Yesterday we wrote a post about the Apple Store walk out scheduled for October 3rd at 1 pm due to many complaints about management. In our post, we had a former Apple employee from the 5th Avenue Store leave us a comment and gave us some amazing insight into what management is doing behind the scenes at the Apple store and some of the crazy things happening there. Here’s the entire comment. Please keep in mind, this is the perspective of only one former Apple employee. More »
Looks like there’s trouble brewing in the land of Apple. With Microsoft looking to take away sales staff and managers, they can further that goal with news that Apple employees in Lynwood, Washington are planning a walk out on Saturday October 3rd at 1 pm. The walkout is taking place because employees are are upset at the Lynwood store managers for their “abusive” behavior.
This news will light up the faces of Microsoft as they plan to open up their own retail stores and look to Apple store employees to manage their own stores. The walkout in Washington brings up an interesting question; are all Apple stores managed like this or is this a one time incidence? More »
