Bing.com, Microsoft’s latest search engine, has continued to grow for a second straight month while Google has continued to decline. According to comScore, Bing had a 8.9 percent search queries in the U.S. in the month of July, which is a 0.5 percent increase since June and a 0.9 percent increase since May.
Google and Yahoo both lost market share during the month of July. Google and Yahoo lost 0.3 percent market share, with down to 64.7 percent and Yahoo down to 19.3 percent. Microsoft and Yahoo have both recently announced Bing as the main search engine for both companies, which equals a 28.2 market share, which is not much higher than the 28 percent share in June. Bing, the new search engine from Microsoft, is gaining momentum, ready to take on Google and is actually quite good. Better than Google at some things. One of the problems that many had with Google was real-time searches, but Bing has taken a stride ahead of Google in that department by attempting to add Twitter searches. More »
