When it comes to personal transporter vehicles, Segway has ruled the roost for quite some time. And it’s not like we haven’t seen companies try to topple the king from its throne. The Segway never made it into the public like the inventors had hoped. It was too expensive and no right minded citizen was really going to use it. But now, a Slovenian inventor Aleksander Polutnik, has taken the Segway concept and applied it to a unicycle like device called the eniCycle. The device is supposed to be so user friendly, that anyone can learn to ride the eniCycle within a half hour.
The eniCycle looks like someone chopped off Bumblebee’s leg and is using it to travel. I do like the idea of the eniCycle and unlike the Segway, this may actually catch on. It’s powered by an electric motor and has a self balancing system to keep you steady and on the eniCycle at all times.
