Yesterday’s Twitter crash was a blessing in disguise for many. As much as we need some of these services for business or to keep up with friends and family, they’ve also taken over our lives. The dudes from Entourage were wrong about Facebook. A few days ago we wrote a post about the two characters from Entourage bashing Facebook, saying it’s for kids. A new study from Ofcom, a media regulator, says kids aged 15 to 24 think social networking sites are lame. What’s causing this trend? Well it’s the older crowd, the 25-years and older, that’s pushing the younger kids away from social networking sites. More »

Phones are advancing more and more everyday and with them, social networking. Why not bring together both to form one? Well, phone manufacturer INQ has decided to take matters into their own hands and create the INQ Chat 3G with GPS (QWERTY keyboard), and the INQ Mini 3G CandyBar. A few days ago, we reported that Bill Gates had trouble using Facebook and ended up closing his account. Gates said he was getting too many friend requests, over ten thousand , and was overwhelmed by it. But unlike Gates, Martha Stewart decided to do a little Facebook bashing, saying “I don’t have to “befriend” and do all that other dippy stuff that they do on Facebook.”

Google has competition, that’s right folks, Cuil.com (pronounced cool) is trying to level itself up with Google and possibly take another shot at the online search engine giant. It had the potential to be great but critics attacked it for its slow and unrelated results. Cuil once tried to make themselves known again by including time lines and geographical “map lines” but failed to do so. More »
