Looks like Sony Ericsson is continuing its “green” crusade by introducing its new business line mobile device called the “Aspen.” Available in Q2 of this year, the housing of the Aspen is made of recycled plastics with a build that is lead-free. “Green” phones seem to be the new trend nowadays. Motorola just recently released their W233 renew device, which boasted itself as the first certified carbon free cell phone on the market. One of my general complaints about this phone was the design of it. There are many things in life that I don’t understand and the new Sony Ericsson Xperia phone is one of them. Available online via Saks Fifth Avenue for a hefty price of $990, the Xperia phone is the world’s first mobile phone with a transparent liquid crystal LCD screen, offering ground-breaking miniaturization technology in the battery, memory card and antenna. Sure this might sound pretty and all kinds of fancy, but the two biggest selling points of this phone don’t really justify the $990 that it costs. More »
