As a long time Craigslist user, I am thankful for the free service that the site provides. Having completed many transactions, I, naturally, have encountered more than a few oddballs and louts through the site. The “WTB” advertisement showcased here is an example of a buyer stooping to a whole new level of idiocy in a pathetic attempt to get a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. More »

From Htcyou: She may or may not know much or anything about the products that she sponsors, but clearly, tennis superstar Maria Sharapova’s name and face sell commodities. Sony Ericsson gets her to unbox and play with its Xperia X10 Mini Pro Android smartphone. More »

Sony’s Ericsson division of cell phones continue with its announcement of the Spiro and Zylo Walkman slider models that are coming out Q3 in select areas of the world. Like all units in the Walkman series, these are fairly small and basic cell phones that focus on music playing. Sony touts the Spiro and Zylo’s FLAC support for audiophiles, but we audiophiles know that the biggest bottlenecks of mobile audio are mostly down to mediocre DACs and headphone amplifiers, not the files, although lower bit-rate MP3s (below 256Kbps) are noticeably compressed when heard through quality earphones. I feel for Jon Rubinstein. His company was the pioneer of the smartphone forerunner, the PDA (although Apple’s Newton started it all). In the late 1990s, Palm was an enviable company, but its failure to transition (successfully) its products to the smartphone market has doomed the once glorious creator of numerous beloved PDAs. “… loaded with applications and more online…” is what the advertisement for the Sony Ericsson Satio boasts while the image above is showing. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), however, is pulling a red card, labeling the advertisement as misleading. More »

One look at those phones and you might guess that they’re Sony Ericsson phones. I did. Well, well, it looks like we were both wrong. The sleek new T1, S1, and E1 phones from Lumigon are surely a sight to behold. More »

From Htcyou: At Mobile World Congress, Sony, like most smartphone makers, showed off new Android devices. The Ericsson X10 will come in Mini and Mini Pro (pictured above) models. More »

Set to start shipping sometime later this quarter, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz is a phone that stands out from all the Android buzz that has been going on lately. With all the focus on smartphones lately, it looks like Sony is still appealing to users that just want to use their phones for other things. More »
