VADO quietly creeped into the holiday gadget line-up, plopped in their new camera and left as quietly as they came. Yep, that’s what they did, they quietly released the 3rd generation VADO HD Pocket Recorder. The device got a slight facelift, with more curved features, a generous screen, and a nicely placed lens at the head of the camera, resembling that of a Blackberry. The 3rd gen device was also upgraded with low light video recording and manual exposure adjustment, support for an external stereo microphone along with a headphone output, new motion detection mode, 4GB of space, ability to take HD quality still photos and allows users to shoot widescreen in 720p HD, or take 7,000 still photos. Rumors are continuing to swirl about a possible iMac refresh but now the Mac Mini is also being included in those rumors. This comes after Apple has told their sales partners not to expect new shipments of the iMac and Mac Mini. That usually means there’s an update coming soon. There were already rumors going around about an iMac refresh and a Macbook plastic refresh, but the Mac Mini is definitely in need of an update, since it’s pretty much had the same design for over 3 years. The last update, in March, just wasn’t enough to make it a worthy purchase for $599. More »


Got the Apple update for the SMS vulnerability that many were concerned about. The iPhone 3.0.1 fixes that problem and is now available in iTunes. The file is 280 MB, so get on it ASAP.
