The Internet’s weight is something we never thought we would talk about but it’s come up, so why not mention it? A few days ago, some guys down at CNET UK decided that it would be interesting if they measured the weight of the Internet so they set out on a mission to calculate every Internet connected device in the world (laptops, phones, netbooks) and how many webpages each of them visits. In the end, after a mess of mathematical theories and equations, they came to a conclusion that the Internet weighed 498,438,559,990 kilograms. More »
