Some will say that the Motorola Droid is boxy and ugly, but I find it understated and sort of handsome. The Droid is Motorola’s biggest star and is about to be followed up by the almost identical looking Droid 2. Over in China, a Droid clone has appeared that looks the part, but tragically, it runs Windows Mobile 6.5. More »

Sunno’s S880 Pro is a higher performance smartphone that has a lot going for it: 1,680 CNY ($246 USD), a 3.6″ 800×480 screen, an 806MHz Marvell processor, and a 5 megapixel camera with flash. Unfortunately, the S880 Pro also runs obsolete Windows Mobile 6.5 and must be imported from China (Americans pay barely any Customs tax so not a big deal). More »

This is official breaking news: Microsoft has declared that no Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone, not even the HTC HD2, will be upgraded to Windows Phone 7. Now, PPC Geeks is putting its reputation on the line and is making bold claims about insider knowledge surrounding Windows Phone 7. More »

I am excited that all phones are both CDMA and GSM, so they should work with any carrier in the world. From my perspective, the only significant area that HTC phones need to do catch-up on is multi-touch, which Apple does just so splendidly. More »
